Gesture Analysis - Individual Assignment
The Harley Quinn Gesture Analysis
Harley Quinn is on a mission. Under a death threat, she becomes an unstoppable not-so-killing machine. This stance and gesture when she makes her entrance to the Gotham police station signifies her newfound confidence, heavily driven by motivation to show not just to Roman Sionis but to everyone else in Gotham that she is no longer bound to the Joker.
She is no longer insecure or heavily reliant or heavily dependant on the Joker. Here she is literally a one-woman army, on her own, with a new purpose. To save herself. She is done waiting to be rescued. The way she confidently holds her "fun gun". In this scene she doesn't even kill anyone, she purposely modified a grenade launcher to shoot confetti, glitter, powder bombs, and small bean bags.
Even when her life is threatened, she maintains her humorous side by personalizing this weapon with her own motifs. She could be forcing herself to enjoy her mission when she breaks into the Gotham police station to break out Cassandra Cain.
